With special interest activist groups continuing their push to punish Thailand Farmers by limiting their access to safe and effective crop protection technology, a coalition of leading agricultural organizations from Thailand and the region have announced their partnership in defense of national farmers.
The group personally delivered a letter today to the Office of the Prime Minister sharing this sentiment. The complete collection of associations signing the letter includes: Thai Crop Protection Association (TCPA); Thai Federation of Safe Agriculture (Thai FSA); Thai Agro Business Association (TABA); and CropLife Asia.
Protests and petitions carried out earlier this week have highlighted the perspective of special interest activist groups. However, the group standing to suffer the most if bans and restrictions are carried out on safe and effective crop protection technology are the Thailand Farmers. The coalition announcing its formation today has banded together to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Thailand Farmers, lend their support at this crucial time, and amplify the voice of these forgotten food heroes who drive the nation's agricultural sector.
