Kintetsu Railway, one of the major private railway covers five prefectures in Kansai Region, which includes Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, Mie and Nagoya, recently announced its popular Kintetsu Rail Passes will become available for advance purchase online from October 1, 2017 with the offering of special price at the website.
The KINTETSU RAIL PASS is a value ticket for visitors to travel in areas along the Kintetsu Line. Four types of passes are offered according to the travel area and the effective period including the pass of one-day, two-day, five-day and five-day plus. All passes allow unlimited use of trains within designated areas and also allow unlimited use of buses within those areas as well except for the regular five-day pass. In addition, the pass will offer special benefits offered at facilities in each area.
Travelers will be offered with the special discount apply for online purchase. This time one-day pass to Travel around Osaka, Kyoto and Nara City will be available at 1,500 yen from the regular fare (2,540 yen, in case of traveling famous tourist spots, 1,040 yen saving). For unlimited passes of two-day will be offered at 2,500 yen from 4,710 yen which is also in case of traveling famous tourist spots, (2,210 yen saving) etc.
All passes cover major tourist spots in Kyoto, Osaka and Nara, and two-day and five-day passes cover additional areas including the Yoshino world heritage site, renowned for its cherry blossoms and autumn foliage, and also five-day pass covers Iga, the homeland of ninja; Yunoyama Hot Springs, where guests can relax in falling snow; and beautiful Ise-Shima, site of last year's G7 summit.
Online passes will be available at the Kintetsu official website with easy purchasing process. All customers simply select the desired pass, fill in the required information in English and press "Purchase". The reservation number and QR code are then sent to the customer's email account. Customer just needs to show the QR code at any Kintetsu train station to receive the pass. It provides a fast and easy process that overcomes language barriers.
Furthermore, some Limited Express trains, which have only reserved seats, run on the Kintetsu Line. Each passenger can board a Limited Express train by purchasing a Limited Express ticket through the internet in advance as well. By boarding a Limited Express train, passengers can travel comfortably to their destinations by the shortest route with the smallest number of transfers.
