Herbalife Nutrition, a global nutrition company, recently hosted "Run For Life 2" at Lumpini Park in Bangkok, to celebrate World Heart Day 2017. Over 2,000 runners of all levels participated in the 5K Fun Run or the 10K Mini Marathon that aimed to promote the benefits of a healthy active lifestyle. The eager crowd cheered as four brand ambassadors of Herbalife Nutrition, football stars Kawin Thamsatchanan and Teerasil Dangda, and badminton champions Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk and Pacharapol Nipornram, went on stage to greet the early-morning runners.
Dr. Tipvon Parinyasiri, Director of Food Bureau, Thailand FDAand Prof Dr Visit Chavasit, Head of certified body for Healthier Choice logo, Institute of Nutrition, Mahidol University (INMU) were also present to welcome the runners and provide them with nutrition and health information. Donations were collected for the Thai Heart Foundation under Royal Patronage and the Nutrition Promotion Foundation under Royal Patronage, the INMU.
"We are delighted with the successful outcome of Run For Life 2, which attracted both competitive and non-competitive runners from all walks of life. With an atmosphere that was relaxed and convivial, the event succeeded in imparting a message on the long-term benefits of staying active and healthy through regular exercise and good nutrition. We will continue to initiate outdoor activities and sports events that will raise awareness and improve the overall well-being of the Thai people," Mr Suphot Rittipichaiwat, General Manager, Herbalife Nutrition Thailand said.
