Bangkok--3 Nov--Rasa Hospitality
When November comes and the full moon lights up the night sky, the 'Loy Krathong' festival begins. Throughout Thailand thousands of handmade lotus-shaped floats, known as 'Krathongs,' with their flickering candles send a thousand pinpoints of light floating down rivers and across lakes into the horizon creating an unforgettable image.
Every year Loy Krathong falls on the night of the full moon of the twelfth lunar month. Thais and visitors throughout the Kingdom journey together to a lake, stream or other body of water to release their Krathong while asking for forgiveness for their past sins and good luck and hope for the future. The wish is made like a promise together with the hope ones' bad deeds will float away and all things good will enter into ones' life. It is believed the Krathong will float far away to the mother of water who will forgive them and let good things return to their lives for the coming year.
This year, on Friday night the 3rd of November, no matter which of our resorts you visit, you can be assured a night of magical memories and a wonderful Loy Krathong experience by Krathong making class and other special activities.
