Bangkok--8 Nov--Hilton Pattaya
"Happy thoughts can't build houses, teddies can" - Hilton Pattaya in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity Thailand built house for local family in Baan Bo Kwang Thong, Chonburi, Thailand.
Hilton Pattaya donated THB 250,000 for sponsorship of building a house by getting support from sales of hotel's popular raincoat teddy bears. Moreover, Hilton Pattaya's management team and volunteers together with the team of Habitat for Humanity Thailand helped each other for the construction tasks including moving bricks, laying bricks, and digging the pit.
Building home and hope is one of the many good activities during Global Week of Service, and is a part of Hilton's corporate responsibility strategy, which is focused on creating opportunities, strengthening communities and preserving the environment. In October, Hilton's Team Members around the world participate in many charity projects to make a lasting, positive impact in their local communities. More than 4,166 projects across 93 countries worldwide have been completed last year.
Habitat for Humanity Thailand, one of our charity partners, was established in 1998 to improve the quality of Thai people by building homes and transforming communities. They built, repaired and rehabilitated over 11,500 houses in Thailand and helped over 46,000 people all over Thailand.
