Today (12 December 2017), Mr. Tevin Vongvanich, President and Chief Executive Officer, PTT Public Company Limited presided over the signing ceremony of memorandums of understanding (MOU) of Cooperation in S-Curve Business and Digital Innovation Development between PTT Public Company Limited and CAT Telecom Public Company Limited. The MOU was signed by Colonel Sanpachai Huvanandana, President of CAT Telecom Public Company Limited and Mr. Chansin Treenuchagron, Chief Operating Officer, Infrastructure and Sustainability Management Business, PTT Public Company Limited.
Colonel Sanpachai Huvanandana, President of CAT Telecom Public Company Limited, revealed that the cooperation between CAT Telecom and PTT will be an important step in moving the Kingdom's economy forward, in accordance with the government's Thailand 4.0 agenda. This MOU aims at developing digital innovation businesses, the technology for the S-Curve industries and other related endeavors that will contribute to the new industries in Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), as well as other related areas.
Under the MOU, CAT Telecom will be responsible for designing, developing and managing various telecommunication infrastructure, in order to support the cooperation with PTT and its affiliates in all dimensions, such as the connectivity of national and international telecommunication networks, high speed internet services, the network security, the connectivity technology and the Internet of Things platform. The move also assists the participating parties in enabling intelligent services in the 4.0 era. The cooperation will expand potentials of CAT Telecom and PTT in providing services to the public, increase the nation's competitiveness in the international arena and reduce redundant investments in the long run by maximizing the resources of both companies.
Mr. Chansin Treenuchagron, Chief Operating Officer, Infrastructure and Sustainability Management Business, PTT Public Company Limited revealed that PTT, as the national energy corporation and the state enterprise under Ministry of Energy, believes that the cooperation in S-Curve Business and Digital Innovation Development between PTT and CAT Telecom will reinforce the government's Thailand 4.0 policy and yield tangible results. With accumulated experience and expertise, PTT will reinforce the development of technology and innovation regarding energy, robotics, automation, and intelligent systems as well as manage infrastructure and public utilities including energy, water, and waste management system in Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), as well as other related areas.
