Enhance the service standard of public transport vans during new year from 28 December, 2017 to 3 January, 2018 and offer PTT cash card valued 400,000 for respectable drivers on road traffic safety
Today (22 December, 2017) Mr. Chadil Chavanalikikorn, Executive Vice President, Sustainability Management, PTTPLC along with Pol.Maj.Gen. Chiraphat Bhumichitr, Deputy Commissioner of Metro Police Bureau, Pol.Maj.Gen.Theerasak Surewong, Traffic Police Commander,and Ms.Sangdao Ekkalugpaisit Managing Director, Getvan Booking Co.,Ltd, held a press conference of "PTT–MPB care for road safety with GetVan" at PTT headquarter to raise awareness on road safety and accident for 5,000 public van drivers in the program via GetVan and offer PTT cash card for drivers who drive safely to create a mindset of defensive driving culture during this new year.
Pol.Maj.Gen. Jirapat stated that during Songkan festival in last summer, Metropolitan Police Bureau and Traffic Police joined PTT Public Company Limited and Getvan Booking and Police I lert U to create a program of emergency alerting notice via Police I lert U and GetVan Driver application. The result was very satisfied on a mission of zero accident with marked success and good feedback from road travelers and application users.
In preparation for the 7 dangerous days on this new year holiday (28 December, 2017 to 3 January, 2018), all related parties have continued this ongoing campaign through "PTT–MPB care for road safety with GetVan" with an increased number of 5,000 vans to join the program. Van drivers will be inspected by rules and regulations to earn a reward for safe driving via GetVan Booking, GetVan Driver, Police I lert U, which tracking road traffic accidents and other statistic such as over speed limit record, number of accident , service complain report,Pol.Maj.Gen. Jirapat stated.
Mr. Chadil stated that PTT conducted business with emphasis on Safety, Security, Health, and Environment towards a goal of reducing traffic accident and building good quality of life for employees, partners, and Thai society. This collaboration involved of all parties including government, private, and public sector to elevate the safety standard on public van driving behavior which will lead to the success of accident reduction eventually. PTT offered cash card valued 400,000 Baht to 370 respectable drivers as to encourage safe driving behavior, promote road safety for drivers and pedestrians as a role model for other public transports.
During this new year festival, people will go on the road trip for travelling and returning their hometown. PTT has prepared full service support throughout the holidays that includes ensuring an availability of fuel at PTT service station and safety standard inspection for all type vehicles. And importantly, PTT will guard more than 1,500 service stations a safe place 24 hours as a rest area for enhancing safety and happiness throughout the country, Mr. Chadil closed the dialog.
