Founded by Bjorn Harvold, Martijn Dekker and Yann Gouriou, Traveliko recently announced that it is partnering with Socialgiver, a social enterprise founded by Arch Wongchindawest, to expand the reach of Traveliko's charitable activities in Thailand. Martijn Dekker, a Traveliko co-founder, said, "When you book a room online through Traveliko you can choose to donate to three kinds of charitable organizations: Animals, People or the Planet. In Thailand, we decided to partner with Socialgiver to coordinate the donations that Traveliko will be giving to these charitable projects. We're happy to work with a proven organisation that understands and apprciates Thai values deeply. We can count on Socialgiver to make sure the money we raise for charity goes to the right people." Socialgiver partners with socially-responsible businesses in Thailand and helps them donate excess goods and services to raise funds for charity. Through the partnership, Traveliko plans to donate 1 - 2 million THB in 2018 to various Thai charities and projects. Arch Wongchindawest, CEO and founder of Socialgiver said: "Our social enterprise is founded with a vision to empower businesses and consumers to do good every day. We believe it's important for everyone to make choices that positively impact people in our society and we're super excited to be working with Traveliko to open up new opportunities for travellers to give back." Socialgiver is helping Traveliko ensure that all funds raised go to high-quality charity projects that can deliver results and, most importantly, maintain transparency and communication allowing everyone to see the impact they've made. Natalie Glebova, Traveliko's brand ambassador and former Miss Universe, said: Traveliko is giving back 20% of its commission to worthy causes. This will make an enormous difference in terms of helping underprivileged people, protecting endangered animals and preserving the environment." Traveliko launched in May 2017. Based in Singapore with a support office in Thailand, the start-up has already registered 700 properties on its website and aims to expand to over 8,000 hotels in 2018. Traveliko was founded to give hotels a fair and cheaper alternative to the large global OTAs, it charges a 10% flat commission rate and donates 20% of that commission to selected charities. The company is completely independent of any other OTA and uses a customer-centric approach, operating on a partnership model that aims to save hotels money on commission so they can focus on giving their customers a better experience. Traveliko has already partnered with hotel chains such as Centara, Dusit, Chatrium, Banyan Tree, Absolute Hotels and many others. Its latest integration is with channel manager Siteminder.
