Bangkok--15 Jan--Thai AirAsia
The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) has proposed a review of fare ceiling implemented on low-cost airlines which operate domestic flights in Thailand, stating that fare should not exceed 9.40 THB per kilometre, which is lowered from the previous fare at 13 THB per kilometre. The proposal will be submitted to CAAT's committee which is chaired by Mr. Arkhom Termpittayapaisith, Minister of Transport.
Despite the emergence of the potential reconsideration on the fare ceiling amendment, Thai AirAsia assures that the change in fare ceiling will not pose any effect to its fare structures because the airline has cost management effectiveness and ability to generate revenues from other services. At present, all of our fares are priced at reasonable level and customers are guaranteed truly low fares with trusted quality.
