Johnson and Johnson (Thailand) Ltd (J & J) received Thai FDA Quality Award 2018 from Dr. Piyasakol Sakolsattayathorn, Minister, Ministry of Public Health (MOPH). This is the second running year that J & J was recognized by Thai FDA through this prestigious award. J & J was the only multi-national company selected by the FDA committee for cosmetic sector this year. The key success factors are followings.
1. Johnson and Johnson is one of the biggest cosmetic manufacturers in Thailand which produces the high quality products supplied to Thailand, ASEAN, and world markets for 48 years.
2. The company has maintained a good quality control, and has applied the quality system for continuous improvement, in order to ensure that the consumers have received the products with high quality and safety.
3. The company has never been punished by authorities for any cases related to production and/or distribution.
4. The company has a well process for consumer relations.
5. The company has a responsibility to community and society by continuously performing CSR activities for public.
Dr. Piyasakol Sakolsattayathorn, minister, MOPH mentioned that the MOPH fully supports government policy of Thailand 4.0. To drive the estimated goal of stable, prosperous, and sustainable economic, the country would have the direction of "building strength within, and then to connect Thai economic with global". The MOPH focuses on "Product Quality and Safety" of all product types and business sizes. The Thai FDA Quality Award was presented to the company which could be the "role model" for each healthcare business.
Dr. Wanchai Satayawuthipong, secretary general of Thai FDA mentioned that the Thai FDA Quality Award is a reward of "Value and Pride". Thai FDA would select the company which has conducted its business with ethic and social responsibility. This year, Thai FDA supports government policy of Thailand 4.0 by implementing Thai FDA 4.0. The estimated goal is to achieve "consumers are safe, industry is supported and growth, healthcare protection is sustainable". The secretary general would like the company with the award to maintain the quality standard with the principle of "quality safety and society caring".
