Esso (Thailand) Public Company Limited together with volunteer employees joined Kung Krabaen Bay Royal Development Study Center in a coastal resource conservation program entitled "Coastal Development for Beautifulness of Chanthaburi Beaches in remembrance of the Late King" at Chanthaburi province.
On this occasion, Privy Councilor Mr. Palakorn Suwannarat graciously presided over the opening ceremony and presented a recognition certificate to Esso director and Public and Government Affairs Manager Mr. Mongkolnimit Auacherdkul for the company's continuous support and participation in this program.
Esso Employee Club also brought over 50 volunteer employees to join this program in beach cleaning and making fish habitats along Chao Lao - Leam Sadet beach in Chantaburi province.
Esso has continuously supported Kung Krabaen Bay Royal Development Study Center since 2009 with the construction of 284 check dams on the hill. These check dams reduced water flow velocity and restored both the watershed and mangroves in the Kung Krabaen area.
Kung Krabaen Bay Royal Development Study Center under the Royal initiative was established in 1982. The Center focuses on developing areas along the east coast with the concept "From the Hill to the Sea" aimed at restoring the watershed and maintaining mangroves as breeding habitat for aquatic animals. It also offers interdisciplinary trainings to support environmentally-friendly fisheries and aquaculture development which will lead to sustainable coastal resource conservation in Thailand.
