Mazda is excited as model sales grew in every segment in January 2018, with a record 38% growth from sales of 4,539 units. The exceptionally high growth is attributed to last year's efforts by Mazda in terms of marketing activities and after sales improvement, which helped to increase Mazda's popularity in the highly-competitive Thai automobile market. Sales of the Mazda2 subcompact reached 2,436 units, making it the most popular model in Thailand's small car market while CX-5 jumped to the 1st place of SUV marketing with the sales of 847 units.
While the Thai automobile continues its recovery starting from last year, Mazda is also enjoying market growth thanks to products that are fun-to-drive and come with both exceptional performance as well as fuel economy thanks to the SKYACTIV technology. The unique KODO design theme, i-ACTIVSENSE all-round safety and even the upgrading of the Mazda showroom and service centers countrywide through the new Mazda Corporate Identity (MCI) al contribute to offering customers a better experience and raising the brand image. Mazda also increases the communications channels with customers through a new Mazda Digital Platform that covers all major social media.
In January, all Mazda models enjoyed market growth particularly the diminutive Mazda2 that has been able to maintain is extremely high popularity in the market with sales of 2,436 units, equivalent to a growth of 31% and helping it to become the market leader in the small car segment. Another model that is enjoying higher popularity than expected is the all-new Mazda CX-5 with sales of 847 units, registering a growth of as much as 181% and taking the lead in the SUV market for the first time.
Meanwhile, sales of other Mazda models are as follows: Mazda3 388 units (27% increase), Mazda CX-3 305 units (3% increase), BT-50 PRO 563 units (7% increase). The outstanding sales performance of each model in January has enabled Mazda to register sales of 4,539 units, an increase of 38% compared to the same period last year.
Mr. Chanchai Trakarnudomsuk, President of Mazda Sales (Thailand) Co. Ltd., said, "We are pleased that Mazda cars are getting more and more popular with beautifully success. Mazda2 can capture customers' hearts firmly and become the winner in the small car market. All-New Mazda CX-5 which launched in November has also been popular with the sale volume of 447 units becoming number one of C-SUV segment for the first time. This is the testimony from customers who believes in Mazda brand and quality."

We will also concentrate on after-sales with the Mazda Active Service program, which involves looking after the customer right from brand interest to becoming a customer. Mr. Thee Permpongpanth, Senior Marketing Director, added: "This year we will concentrate on minor-change models in order to freshen up our product portfolio and increase value for money. Each model will get a surprising level of equipment upgrades that will help customers enjoy our products even more. In addition we also give priority to customer care and after sales service, by upgrading our showrooms as well as brand value. We also organized training for mechanics in terms of vehicle maintenance and repair in order to deliver the best service with same standards whether it's a big or small showroom. Each showroom follows the Mazda Dealer Operation Standard and has the right number of employees for each showroom size. This will help raise the premium image for Mazda and create a bond with customers leading to brand loyalty and repurchasing opportunities.
