Bangkok--14 Feb--Siam Commercial Bank
In a bid to deliver professional services, Siam Commercial Bank has collaborated with world-class financial service provider Thomson Reuters as an exclusive partner to offer an effective investment tool for its Wealth customer group. This will be the first time in Thailand that retail investors themselves will be able to enjoy access to reliable investment insights from around the world with breadth and depth. Praised for its advanced data analytic innovations, Thomson Reuters Eikon and Thomson Reuters Knowledge Direct will provide SCB's Wealth customers with quick access to accurate investment updates covering all aspects of markets worldwide. Customers will not miss important events, and will be able to keep pace with markets, upgrading their wealth management to be on par with professional standards. The service is available now at SCB Investment Centers.
Speaking about the new service, Ms. Lalitphat Toranavikrai, Executive Vice President of the Private Banking Division, Siam Commercial Bank, revealed that, "SCB always places a priority on providing our customers with new experiences catering to their specific requirements, while also developing and adopting advanced digital technology to serve customers as part of its mission to become "The Most Admired Bank". It is also a keen interest of the Bank to enable its Wealth client sections, comprising SCB PRIVATE BANKING, SCB FIRST, and SCB PRIME, and those interested in investment, to have instant access to reliable information and investment advice and knowledge. This approach will ensure that our clients will not miss any important opportunities and investment timing. SCB has launched the SCB Investment Center to serve as a center to provide knowledge and tips from gurus and experts for all investment needs. For the Investment Room service, SCB has collaborated with Thomson Reuters Exclusive partner, a world class information service provider, to implement the Thomson Reuters system to boost its service effectiveness. Unlike other systems, Thomson Reuters database serves as a data pool covering all asset classes, not just equities. Customers will be able to view information, such as bonds, mutual funds, exchange rates, commodities and others. Moreover, customers can also monitor economic and investment news updates from all over the world in real-time, just like professional investors, institutional investors, fund managers, or bank traders. This type of information is not usually provided to retail customers. This cooperation is regarded as the first time in Thailand that retail investors can truly enjoy access to investment insights by themselves from a reliable source, unlike general data available from regular internet searching."
Mr. Sanjeev Chatrath, Managing Director, Regional Head – Asia, Financial & Risk, Thomson Reuters, said that, "Thomson Reuters and SCB's joint effort to provide in-depth investment information for SCB customers has created a new investment experience for SCB's Wealth clients. Thomson Reuters brings the strength of its open platform technology to provide financial and investment data, which is one of its core businesses and extensively accepted by leading investment houses globally, to offer the best service for SCB clients through Thomson Reuters Eikon and Thomson Reuters Knowledge Direct. These technology platforms will enable instant access to databases with advanced analytic tools which are easy, convenient, and quick to use for both budding or professional investors. Customers can obtain access to information covering all asset classes, and will be able to monitor the movements of major stock markets around the world. With the system capable of advanced data analysis, customers will be able to increase their investment value through increasing investment opportunities, and be more confident with their decision making, while improving the effectiveness of portfolio management."
