Mr. Predee Daochai, KBank President, and Mr. Kalin Sarasin, Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC) and the Board of Trade of Thailand, signed a cooperation agreement for "Upgrade of Provincial Quality Product Certification Project via e-Payment" program. Under this cooperation, KBank will install the standardized QR Code payment system for TCC-member merchants who participate in TCC provincial quality product certification project to receive payment via scanning using mobile banking application of every bank, and QR Code payment of Alipay and WeChat Pay. With greater payment convenience and security, plus lower cash management costs for merchants, the scheme is expected to promote spending in provincial areas and drive Thailand's overall economic growth in line with Trade & Services 4.0 initiative. The pilot project kicks off at four merchants in four provinces before expanding to 4,500 member merchants nationwide by the end of 2018.
