Bangkok--8 Mar--Regent's International School Bangkok
Dr. Virachai Techavijit, Chairman of The Regent's International School, welcomed three of Thailand's greatest living writers to a workshop run by the Thai Language Department. The purpose of the workshop sessions was to inspire secondary students to develop their love of reading. At both IGCSE and in the IB programme, students study Thai literature, thinking in depth about the techniques used by the writers. Reading and understanding literature is also an important element in understanding the world in which we live. The three SEA Write Award-winning poets and national artists helped the students to understand their writing at the workshop, attended by 108 students and 34 teachers from 18 international schools based in Thailand.
