Bangkok--29 Mar--Kerry Express
Kerry Express (Thailand) Limited, Thailand's leading parcel delivery company, announced today that it will spend an extra 800M baht on expanding its Same-day delivery network in Bangkok City and opening more nationwide service points.
The new investment means Kerry Express will (i) invest at least 1.8B baht, (ii) double the fleet size of its Bangkok Sameday delivery network and (iii) revise its projected number of services points from 1,500 locations to 2,500 locations by the end of 2018.
"Customers in Bangkok love our Bangkok Sameday brand and its excellent services," said Mr. Warawut Natpradith, Deputy General Manager of Kerry Express, "we invested a huge amount of resources to make Bangkok Sameday a cool brand which change the shipper habbit of Bangkokians."
Kerry Express' extensive service points network does not only provide Thai people easy access to its first class delivery services, it is also part of Kerry Express' O2O (online-to-offline) strategies.
"Online shoppers will soon be able to order products online and choose to self-collect from our offline stores;" Said Mr. Warawut, "on the other hand, more than 20% of online sellers coming to our stores today do not go to the counters, they go directly to the self-help kiosk, scan on a QR code provided by the Seller Centres of those leading e-commerce platforms, then they print a shipping label and hand the products to our shop staff without any payment needed. Kerry will do all the backend clearance with the Seller Centres."
Kerry Express also plans to open more distribution centres, build more mega-size sorting centres, procure more vehicles, and most importantly recruit more people to enhance its people's network.
Kerry Express is now Thailand's leading parcel delivery company with a strong focus on delivering small parcels to the size up to 30kg per package. It's delivering more than 750,000 parcels per day. Kerry's popular next-day (ND) service can bring packages to nearly 100% of places in Thailand within one day.
