Bangkok--3 Apr--Spark Communications
Summer Hill, the summer-inspired community hub in Phra Khanong officially open its doors for a 3rd April 2018 grand opening. The hub has achieved full occupancy with a mix of around 15 well-known international names and local favorites from the retail and lifestyle sectors.
The mixed-used lifestyle development, owned by Boutique Prakhanong 1 Limited, a direct subsidiary of the leading property developer Boutique Corporation Public Company Limited ("Boutique"), is a new landmark in this bustling Sukhumvit neighborhood, and is populated with tenants including Starbucks, Tops Supermarket, Fitness 24/7, Au Bon Pain and Spaces by Regus, the Amsterdam-based co-working space who will all open their doors in time for the opening. Another exciting addition for the hub is Treasure Factory, a Japanese second hand product store which opens its first Thailand branch at Summer Hill.
The grand opening marks the first of three phases for the hub, the second of which will be the opening of the Summer Hub Offices next door to Summer Hill that will offer another 5,000sqm of lettable space and is set to open at the end of 2018. An as-yet under-wraps third phase across the street from Summer Hill will be underway by the end of 2018. Together, the combined phases will work together in synergy to create a mixed-use development that integrates commercial spaces and offices for a hub that truly serves and invigorates the local neighborhood as a place to work, eat, shop, workout and hang out.
Around 25,000 BTS users a day get on or off at Summer Hill, making it perfectly placed for seamless integration into local residents' lifestyles.
"Phra Khanong is a buzzing, exciting place to live and spend time but, until now there was no hub at which to spend leisure time. We hope that with this community-minded development and the further two planned phases, Summer Hill will become the obvious epicenter of the area. A mix of F&B outlets, retail stores and a supermarket, fitness center and co-working space will really enrich the neighborhood, creating a heart for this Sukhumvit community" said Mr. Prab Thakral, President and Group CEO of Boutique Corporation Public Company Limited.
Mixed-use developments, like Summer Hill, respond to the recent increase in popularity of e-commerce in Thailand, by offering a variety of unique and enjoyable lifestyle experiences that are not available online. Furthermore, the synergy of different components in a mixed-use development appeals to retailers, office tenants and residents in the vicinity and/or transiting on BTS. By featuring a combination of shops, restaurants, entertainment and lifestyle outlets, Phra Khanong residents and visitors can utilize the facilities in a way that suits their individuality and urban lifestyle.
