Bangkok--9 Apr--Hill+Knowlton Strategies
When summer comes, we may not want to exercise outside to avoid the heat, and many people prefer to just turn on the air conditioning and stay in. However, if you exercise less, consistently you must be more careful about what you consume. Today, we give you a perfect recipe idea that makes sure that you consume foods that are good for your health, avoid excessive fat – and is still delicious!
Bertolli, the number one olive oil in Thailand, worked with Chef Nan Hongwiwat, the talented chef from C.I.Y. (Cook It Yourself) TV program to develop a healthy summer recipe based on a well-loved favorite – 'Kra Pao Gung, cereals, with Riceberry.' A simple menu that anyone can do at home, it combines vegetables, healthy riceberry grains (rich in antioxidants and fiber), various cereals and beans like red beans, lotus seeds, string beans, ginkgo and finally olive oil - providing healthy fats and helping to reduce cholesterol levels and heart disease risks – just some of the benefits of this oil.
"Kra Pao Gung cereal with Riceberry is the perfect summer menu as it combines Thai ingredients that Thai people love and use to cook with all the time: Kra Pao, with healthy ingredients such as olive oil and different kind of cereals. Mixing traditional recipes with healthy ingredients is a trend that is spreading across the world. The menu is easy, can be done quickly, and allows you to add in any ingredients that you prefer," Chef Nan explains.
