- Payment secured with creation of 'Personal QR Code'
AP (Thailand) Public Company Limited, the leading developer of residential properties for urbanites, today, announced its partnership with Kasikornbank to launch the latest service called Cashless Payment - the first time this financial innovation is introduced in Thailand's real estate sector. The payment system offers the creation of "Personal QR Code" in every transaction to buy AP's residences. By making it safer to pay online, the system meets the lifestyle need of the millennials. AP will start using cashless payment with the booking of townhomes at its prototype projects "Pleno Pinklao-Charan" and "Baan Klang Muang Ratchaphruek-Rattanathibet" before expanding it to all other AP projects later.
Mr. Pamorn Prasertsan, Chief Business Group – Single Detached Home & Townhome, said, "AP is the first leading property developer to work with a leading financial institution like Kasirkornbank to introduce 'Cashless Payment' in home buying transaction as an additional channel to offer homebuyers convenience by freeing them from hassle of using cash or cheque to book AP projects. We learned that people who buy goods and services online make up 61% of the world's 1,660 million population and online financial transaction is likely to grow in various forms. AP is committed to offering consumers a complete range of facilities for every aspect of their lifestyle."
Mr. Amorn Suvachittanont, First Senior Vice President, Kasikornbank Public Company Limited, said, "We are very glad that AP sees the importance of online financial transaction under 'the Go Beep campaign'. It is the first time that KBank and AP Thailand have used QR Code payment technology like "Personal QR Code" with real estate products following a huge success with consumer goods. It is also in line with Thailand's transition into cashless society as set out under the government's National e-Payment policy"
