Bangkok--17 May--Bangkok Bank
Bangkok Bank has joined with Caltex to introduce the "BBL-Caltex Fleet Card" and "BBL-Caltex Cash Card" to help corporate clients manage their fuel costs, improve cash flow and increase business efficiency, while driving Thailand towards a cashless society.
Bangkok Bank Executive Vice President of Credit Card Division Shoke Na Ranong said the bank has partnered with Chevron (Thailand) Limited, the marketer of Caltex brand, to develop the "BBL-Caltex Fleet Card". The card will enable corporates to manage fuel expenses more efficiently as they will be provided with electronic invoices, daily and monthly fuel expense details, and tax invoices.
Corporates using this fleet card can set limits for either the spending value or liters of fuel per time, per day and per month and the mileage system can be used to calculate the fuel consumption rate. The fleet card will specify the corporate name, car license plate, car make, the type of fuel permitted, and gas stations where the card can be used. With these features, businesses can control and manage costs more efficiently. The credit term is for up to 55 days and the enhanced flexibility will allow a business to select its preferred date in the billing cycle to correspond with the company's accounting system. This will enable better cash flow, improved liquidity and more efficient business management.
Bangkok Bank also introduced "BBL - Caltex Cash Card", a prepaid card for tank filling and lubricant products purchase at Caltex fuel service stations nationwide, which can conveniently be used in place of cash and help to control monthly expenses. Organizations and businesses can give this as a gift card to customers and specify the name of the company and place a message or logo on the back of the card.
"Bangkok Bank has been cooperating with Caltex stations for joint-marketing for a long time, especially in developing promotions for Bangkok Bank credit card users, and this collaboration will further support the needs of Bangkok Bank customers. Corporate customers will have more ways to manage their fuel costs efficiently and have better cash flow," said Mr. Shoke.
Mr. Salman Saadat, Country Chairman and General Manager - Products, Chevron (Thailand) Limited. said this collaboration with Bangkok Bank will complement both businesses as it combines strength, potential and business expertise to better facilitate business operators, retailers and corporate clients while fulfilling their needs and catering to their demanding lifestyle. This is in line with the company's vision "Smart Value for All" as well as the government's policy to push Thailand towards a cashless society.
New product launches will help enhance customers' joyful experience and provide customers with outstanding privileges. With the BBL – Caltex Fleet Card and BBL – Caltex Cash Card, corporate clients will be able to manage fuel costs more effectively as they can track their transactions via convenient and fast online systems which will help reduce corporate operational costs. Payments can also be made via QR Code on EDC, a convenient new option for fuel payment. This will help Caltex expand their reach towards new customer base and introduce them to a wide range of excellent fuel products and services at Caltex service stations.
"Chevron is committed to developing strategies to serve the needs of current customers, adjust to changing needs and be a one-stop service station with a priority concern for safety, in line with the Fuel Service Station Control Act. Chevron expects that the introduction of QR Code payments on EDC will provide greater convenience to customers and shorten service time. The company is prepared to offer the QR code payment services at Caltex fuel service stations nationwide upon regulatory approval of mobile phone usage at the fuel service point," added Mr. Saadat.
