Market for Alternative Investment (mai), in collaboration with mai Listed Company Association (maiA), will organize the fifth "mai FORUM 2018" at Centara Grand at CentralWorld Hotel in Bangkok on July 1, under the theme "3S: SMEs-SE-Startup Development, Advancement, Creativeness", underscoring mai-listed firms' positioning as "SME Role Model". The forum aims to provide investors with opportunities to meet mai-listed CEOs for insights on business growth potential, while offering special seminars and a variety of products and services showcased by more than 100 mai-listed firms' booths. This year, Commerce Minister Sontirat Sontijirawong will preside over the opening ceremony and address the keynote speech.
mai President Prapan Charoenprawatt said that mai has played a role as a fund-raising platform for almost two decades to enhance potential and widen opportunity for business. This year mai plans to encourage listed companies to adopt innovations, while operating business by taking into consideration the environmental, social and governance (ESG) aspects, and realizing the importance of investor relations. The mai FORUM aims at opening opportunities for listed companies to expose themselves to investors, securities analysts, and the public, and enabling mai-listed firms' CEOs to meet directly with investors to present first-hand information.
maiA President Dr. Charnkrij Dejvitak said that the association's main mission is to enhance and develop members to be role models for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Thailand in carrying out business in accordance with good governance principles and embracing all stakeholders. This year the concept ofmai FORUM, which is regarded as the association's annual main activity, is to extend to social enterprises and startups.
