Recently, at Shangri-la Hotel, Bangkok, General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, and Mr. Nguy?n Xuân Phúc, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding to promote bilateral trade and investment between Thailand and Vietnam. Signed by Mr. Pipit Aneaknithi, KBank President, and Mr. Le M?nh Hùng, Acting Director General of the Agency for Enterprise Development, Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam, the MOU is aimed at promoting SME capacities and opening up trade and investment opportunities of the two countries which aim for USD20 billion in two-way trade turnover by 2020. The ceremony was part of the 8th Ayeyawady – Chao Phraya – Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) Summit.
