At KBank Phahon Yothin Building, Dr. Charl Kengchon (third from right), KResearch Managing Director, and other executives recently held a press conference to announce a newly revised economic growth forecast for 2018 at 4.5 percent, up over the 4.0 percent growth projected before, buoyed chiefly by the external factor. Aside from high growth in exports and tourism, improving domestic spending, including private investment and private consumption, plus disbursements of the 2018 mid-year budget and the fact that many public investment projects will gradually enter the tender process will likely support the Thai economy further during 2H18.
