Breast cancer is the No. 1 life-threatening disease for every women, whether they are single or married, as more than 13,000 new cases have been diagnosed each year. And importantly, the figure is on the rise in all age groups owing to the changing lifestyle of people.
Thus, regular breast check is key in minimising the risk and maximizing healing opportunity. Mammogram and ultrasound examination has been approved as the most effective breast cancer screening method to date because it can detect cancerous lump as small as two millimetres in diameter, an early stage with virtually no apparent symptom. To promote awareness of this issue among women, the Wacoal brand through its Wacoal Pink Ribbon breast cancer awareness campaign has joined forces with the National Cancer Institute, regional cancer hospitals under the Department of Medical Services, Bangkok Hospital Group and Samitivej Hospital Group to continue the "Wacoal Cares For Your Breasts. Mammogram Saves Your Life" project, offering Wacoal customers the complimentary mammogram and ultrasound exam cards for the ninth consecutive year.
His & Her cardholders who purchase Wacoal lingerie products worth a combined 12,000 baht (net) in the period between 1 July and 31 October 2018 will receive a VIP mammogram and ultrasound exam card. The service is provided at 28 participating hospitals[i] until 31 December 2018. In case you are not willing to use this privilege, you can also give the card to a person you care for or forward it to underprivileged women through the Charity Mammogram Project by the National Cancer Institute.
