Saint-Gobain embraces Thailand 4.0 initiative as a key driver of transformation in creating “designed-in wellbeing” for living places

Bangkok--19 Jul--Vivaldi Integrated Public Relations Saint-Gobain, the world leader in habitat and construction markets and the design, manufacture and distribution of high-performance building materials has embraced the government's Thailand 4.0 initiative as a key driver of transformation in the creation of well-being in living places. Saint-Gobain has introduced its Multi-Comfort solution at the Thai-French Smart City Forum in order to encourage new ideas and the development of techniques in building sustainable, aesthetically appealing and technologically driven development. Thai-French Smart City Forum is organized by The National Innovation Agency (NIA) and Business France (Trade and Commerce Department) in order to share knowledge and experience on smart city development, and to develop innovation districts. It also includes the development of ecosystems that enhance approaches towards integrated innovation. The Thai-French Smart City Forum provided opportunities for representatives from Thailand to meet world-leading smart city technology companies from France, which included SAINT-GOBAIN, ACOEM, ARTELIA, BOUYGUES-THAI, DASSAULT SYSTEMS, DEXTRA, EDF INTERNATIONAL NETWORKS, EGIS, ENGIE, MICHELIN, PLATT NERA-SIGFOX, SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC, SUEZ and VEOLIA. The forum presented an opportunity to discuss technical issues related to smart city projects and innovation districts that are currently being developed in Thailand. In the event, Saint-Gobain also took part in the discussion under the headline, "Cutting-edge solutions for a smart & sustainable future" together with Dassault Systemes, Engie and Schneider. Saint-Gobain presented "What is building 4.0?" by introducing Multi-Comfort solutions for smart cities; a range of high performance, comfort enhancing and energy saving products and solutions which help to create a more sustainable building environment. Nicolas Godet, CEO Construction Products South-East Asia at Saint-Gobain, said, "Improving capacity, productivity and innovation in construction are key aspirations for Saint-Gobain. Although we are seeing smart methods of construction increasing (including offsite manufacturing which decreases build time and improves efficiency), it is important that innovation and sustainability does not get left behind.
