Myanmar State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi (front row, centre) accompanied with U Thaung Tun (front row, 2nd from left), Minister for the office of Union government, and Dr. Aung Thu (front row, right) Minister for agriculture, livestock breeding and irrigation, visited the Village Fund Project at Pay Taw Village in Nay Pyi Taw. The village is a prototype of Pay Taw Layer Farm Project which managed by Myanmar C.P. Livestock Co., Ltd. (C.P. Myanmar) in accordance with the "Three-Benefit Principle" of Charoen Pokphand Group (CP Group).
The Village Fund is a social responsibility project initiated in 2015 by Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont, Senior Chairman of CP Group, and provided financial support of Bt1 million to 50 villages each. The village fund committee was also established to manage project with efficient, transparency and create maximum benefit to the community.
Aung San Suu Kyi and team also visited modern Nay Pyi Taw Dairy Farm and pasteurized milk plant, a joint venture between the government and CP Group, to be a demonstration farm and a learning center for farmers, students and state officials. Aung San Suu Kyi and ministers were welcomed by Mr.Sooksunt Jiamjaiswanglerg (front row, 2nd from right ), CP Group's Representatives for agro-industrial and food business together with Mr.Uthai Tantipimolphan (standing 6th from right) C.P. Myanmar's Vice Chairman, and Mr.Wirat Wongpornpakdee (back row, 5th from right), C.P.Myanmar's President,.
