“Esso Gives the Gift for a Great Future” Donating scholarships and medical equipment at Phetchabun

Bangkok--6 Aug--Esso Esso (Thailand) Public Company Limited together with Esso service station dealers nationwide, business partners and Esso Employee Club hosted the "Give the Gift for a Great Future" event for education and medical equipment worth 2.9 million Baht for people in Phetchabun province. The event was presided over by Mr. Woraphot Vaewsingngarm, deputy governor of Phetchabun and took place at Pra Kai Petch Hall, Phetchabun Rajabhat University, Muang district, Phetchabun province. Mr. Manoch Munjitjuntra, (5th left, back row) director and retail sales manager of Esso, along with service station dealers, business partners and employee volunteers presented 600 scholarships, at 3,000 Baht each, totaling 1.8 million Baht, to students from 52 schools in Phetchabun. Another 150,000 Baht was given to Ban Bu Chanuan School for the renovation of toilet rooms. In addition to the education support, an amount of 650,000 Baht was donated to Phetchabun Hospital for the purchase of respiratory machine and for the construction of patient's ward while another 300,000 Baht was presented to Lom Sak Hospital for the purchase of cast cutter machine, bringing the total support of this event up to 2.9 million baht. The "Give the Gift for a Great Future" project was well cooperated by the service station dealers, business partners including Tesco Lotus, PSP Transport Co.,Ltd, Rabika Coffee, "Vida" bottled drinking water, General Master Advertising Co.,Ltd., and K&N Commercial Co.,Ltd. as well as employees from Esso and ExxonMobil affiliates in Thailand. This activity provided good opportunities to students in Phetchabun and encouragement to pursue their academic endeavors. As for the hospitals, the supported medical equipment will enable the two hospitals to provide better healthcare services in the province.
