Her Royal Highness Princess Somsawalee opened the 40th Bualuang Paintings Exhibition 2018 and gave out prizes to winning artists in the Bualuang Painting Competition. The Princess was greeted by Bangkok Bank Board Directors H.S.H. Prince Mongkolchaleam Yugala, Bualuang Foundation Director Dr.Sathit Uthaisri, Director and Secretary Apichart Ramyarupa, and The Queen's Gallery Director Chai Sophonpanich, Nintira Sophonpanich, as well as executives and staff from Bangkok Bank and Bualuang Foundation. The Bualuang Painting Competition this year includes three categories – Thai traditional, Thai semi-traditional and Thai contemporary. Some 118 works of art by 90 artists were entered in the competition and nine artists were selected for awards by the judging committee. The exhibition, which features 58 paintings short-listed from this year's competition, is being held at The Queen's Gallery in Bangkok Bank's Saphan Phan Fa branch on Ratchadamnoen Road, and will run until October 5, 2018. The exhibition will move to the Naresuan University Art Museum, in Phitsanulok province.
