In a bid to boost the e-commerce market, Siam Commercial Bank has teamed up with Lazada Co., Ltd. to offer increased online shopping convenience on digital platforms with a new service allowing shoppers to directly top up their Lazada Wallet from SCB accounts. As Thailand's first collaborative effort its kind, shoppers will be able to complete the real-time top up process within a single application offering convenience and flexibility for new digital era lifestyles. During an introductory period running between 20 August – 20 October 2018, the first 20,000 customers using SCB accounts to top up 500 baht or more in Lazada Wallet will get a special bonus of 100 baht/account. Representing SCB to celebrate the new service launch were Mr. Sirote Vichayabhai, Executive Vice President of Corporate Banking 4 (Center), Mr. Rungsan Ongsaranakom, Executive Vice President of Client Coverage 4.1 (2nd from right), Mr. Thawee Poonlapmongkol, First Senior Vice President, Transaction Banking Solutions (right), Siam Commercial Bank and Ms. Thanida Suiwatana, CMO (2nd from left) and Mr. Supachet Phaovanit, VP of Payments (left) Lazada Thailand.. With direct Lazada Wallet top up service, customers will experience a new level of convenience, security, and speed, and will be eligible for many promotions. All these benefits will help boost the number of users even more.
This cooperation between SCB and Lazada is a sign of yet more progress for Thailand's e-commerce market following the earlier success of Thailand's first credit extension using Artificial Intelligence (AI) for merchants operating on Lazada's platform. Customers can enjoy increased financial flexibility and the ability to effectively promote their businesses on Lazada's platform by applying for loans online without any paper work hassles.
