Ms. Kulaya Tantitemit, Inspector General of the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Finance's Spokesperson stated that "the government's net revenue collection in the first 10 months of fiscal year 2018 (October 2017 – July 2018) was 2,027,375 million baht, 67,253 million baht or 3.4% above the target and 6.3% higher than the same period of last year. This was mainly due to revenue collection from other agencies and remittances from state-owned enterprises exceeding the targets by 25,241 and 25,220 million baht, or 17.5% and 20.8% respectively. In particular, the collection of petroleum tax, automobile tax, and tobacco tax were significantly above the targets."
Ms. Kulaya added that, "The Ministry of Finance is certain that revenue collection target of this fiscal year will be achieved as planned."
