Bangkok--27 Aug--Magnolia Quality Development
MQDC and Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas will open a Six Senses hotel, the first in Bangkok, along with 50 branded residences at the 119-acre The Forestias, a mixed-use green development at Bangna.
Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas is to operate its first hotel in Bangkok at the 119-acre The Forestias green development at Bangna under a collaboration with international property developer MQDC (Magnolia Quality Development Corporation Limited).
The companies formalized their collaboration, also covering branded residences, at a signing ceremony at Research & Innovation for Sustainability Center (RISC) at Magnolias Ratchadamri Boulevard.
MQDC CEO Mr Visit Malaisirirat and MQDC's President for Hotels & Hospitality, Mr Chris Ow, signed for the developer. Six Senses was represented by its CEO, Mr Neil Jacobs, and President, Bernhard Bohnenberger.
"This collaboration is based on a shared aspiration: to offer residents and guests the highest-quality experiences for health and well-being while maintaining total harmony with the human and natural environment, an approach MQDC calls 'for all well-being'," said Mr Malaisirirat.
"Six Senses has won the devotion of an exacting clientele with its vision of intelligent luxury. MQDC is honored to be hosting this outstanding global brand at The Forestias, a mixed-use development built under our 'sustainnovation' principle with every element for healthy and sustainable living, including extensive woodlands and green spaces that can contribute to crafted experiences and cherished memories."
Six Senses CEO Mr Neil Jacobs said: "Six Senses has preferred The Forestias, its first location in Bangkok, for a 60-room hotel and 50 residences. Under our vision of reconnecting guests with themselves, others, and the world, Six Senses seeks out unique locations where we can operate sustainably and with consideration for our surroundings, what we term local sensitivity, global sensibility. At Six Senses Forestias, our residential owners and guests can enjoy a tranquil haven in easy reach from Bangkok's multitude of cultural and leisure attractions."
MQDC's Mr Ow said the developer would contribute expertise in design and construction to ensure an exceptional experience.
"MQDC's recognized success as a mixed-used property developer is confirmed by this agreement, which follows similar associations with other high-end hotel brands," he said.
"Bangkok is the undisputed world capital of hospitality, where the finest hotels and hospitality professionals compete to impress the most sophisticated travelers. With our harmonized vision of wellness and sustainability, MQDC and Six Senses will be adding a compelling new option to this rich offering."
