Honeywell (NYSE: HON), a global leader in connected buildings, showcased its latest connected technologies and solutions that deliver real business value across various mixed-use commercial buildings, hotels and smart cities at the Honeywell Buildings Technology Symposium in Bangkok, Thailand. More than 200 visitors, including developers, consultants, operators, owners, contractors and system integrators had the chance to preview Honeywell's latest Connected Offerings that leverage the Internet of Things (IoT) to help facility managers and building owners enhance cost and operational efficiencies, while meeting the safety and comfort needs of building occupants. As the government of Thailand actively implements its Thailand 4.0 policy, which aims to transform the country into a value-based and innovation driven digital economy, an important focus is on developing an ecosystem for the development of smart cities, together with improving energy efficiency and infrastructure from buildings to transportation links including roadways, rail and airports. The Honeywell Buildings Technology Symposium offers practical and relevant solutions that address many of the requirements to advance the Thailand 4.0 agenda for an improved quality of life in urban centers, notably the necessary technologies and systems supporting data platforms for buildings and the requisite tools for building the necessary ecosystems allowing smart cities to reach their full potential. There is a tremendous level of investment in both infrastructure and property developments, notably in Bangkok, but also in secondary cities and in a variety of urban centers up-country. This investment is aligned with integration and connectivity becoming more important. This results from data being more accessible and actionable today for home owners and businesses throughout Thailand.
