Rockwell Automation sets to help companies transform under Thailand 4.0 New office opens to support growth in the digitization age

Bangkok--1 Oct--Ogilvy Public Relations Rockwell Automation (Thailand), a leading industrial automation solution provider, saw a positive trend in the Thai industrial sector's transformation to smart manufacturing after the government introduced Thailand 4.0 development model. To support the continuous demand for automation and digitization solution in Thai market, Rockwell Automation has relocated to a new office in G Tower, Phra Ram 9 Road. The new office is bigger and consolidates every department on one floor to promote enhanced collaboration among its employees and service efficiency. The demo rooms were also set up for its customers to have a clear picture of what Rockwell Automation automated solutions can do for them. Mr. Pierre Teszner, Regional Director, Rockwell Automation Southeast Asia said, "Thailand is one of the most advanced countries in Southeast Asia in terms of digitization. Following the Thai government's announcement on the Thailand 4.0 initiative two years ago, the awareness and demand for automation solution in Thai industrial sector expedited growth. In Thailand, the automation market will grow in high single digits, perhaps double digits, or around 10 percent in the next five years. Rockwell Automation has a positive outlook for a very promising future here and believes that Thailand will become one of the two pillars in Southeast Asia after Singapore." Teszner noted that approximately 15 percent of local industries were fully automated, and another 20 percent were semi-automated. That means room for growth in the robotics and automation markets. Automation is seen as a crucial part in the journey towards smart manufacturing, said Teszner. Being the "brain" of the manufacturing process, automation solution enables manufacturers to increase production and operation efficiency as well as productivity without investing in a new plant. Previous work that was completed manually have been replaced by automated systems. The introduction of the right solutions will bring an automated organisation into a Connected Enterprise. "Automation has provided us with a 4 – 5 percent productivity gain annualy If you deploy automation for 10 years, that's a significant improvement," said Teszner. "Rockwell Automation has solutions for all industries. Even for those who are already fully automated, our global expertise and advanced solution can bring them further to smart manufacturing using IOT and Big Data, for example," he said. Mr. Kriengsak Parsurakul, Country Manager, Rockwell Automation (Thailand), added that " major Rockwell Automation customers in Thailand were in the automotive, automotive tires, personal care, oil & gas, and food industries. The company currently supplies end-to-end automation systems from raw materials and supplies to assembly line operation and control. "While automation allows manufacturers to increase productivity and enjoy real-time reports of the manufacturing process, it contributes significantly to human resource development," said Kriengsak. "In the future, when all manufacturing is automated, there will be a new generation of engineers and workers. Human Resources will require employees to reskilled and up skilled. Such programs will groom and grow a new generation of engineers who have new perspective and high competency in robotics and automation.
