Bangkok--4 Oct--B.Grimm Power B.Grimm Power Plc (BGRIM) has won the bid to build and operate a hybrid energy complex serving U-tapao International Airport in Rayong. The Royal Thai Navy (RTN) notified the SET-listed BGRIM of being chosen to carry out phase one project which will have a combined generating capacity of 95 megawatts in electrical power along with the production of , cold water and 50 megawatt/hour energy storage system. "We are proud and thankful for being entrusted to undertake this scheme which is very important element in U-tapao Airport development, "said BGRIM President Preeyanart Soontornwata. The phase-one development calls for BGRIM to put in a place an 80-MW co-generation facility, establishing a 15-MW solar power farm and an energy storage system capable of storing 50 megawatt/hour. The stage-two involves the construction of an 80-MW co-generation, a 55-MW solar power facility which will be installed in one or several surfaces to be decided later - on the ground, roof-top and on a structure on the water. The development of phase-one will be undertaken between 2018 and 2021 while the stage-two will be implemented between 2021 and 2023.
