ABeam Consulting (Thailand) Co., Ltd. --a subsidiary of ABeam Consulting Ltd. in Japan providing business transformation services disclosed the result of the "Hackathon by Tri Petch Group X ABeam" in cooperation with Tri Petch Group and ABeam Consulting (Thailand) at the recent CEBIT ASEAN THAILAND 2018 to find innovators for automobile business innovation. There were 3 contestants participating in the contest to initiate an innovative business idea from "Vehicle Insight Data" –Big Data from Tri Petch Group. The award-winning idea has used the Big Data to increase the value of vehicle in the second-hand car market. ABeam urged enterprise to manage large amount of data into Big Data and use it for business development as well as business information in business decision making.
Mr. Ichiro Hara, Managing Director of ABeam Consulting (Thailand) Ltd. --a subsidiary of ABeam Consulting Ltd. in Japan providing business transformation services revealed that after ABeam Consulting (Thailand) joined hands with Tri Petch Group arranging "Hackathon by Tri Petch Group X ABeam" to search for innovators developing innovative ideas for automobile business in the recent CEBIT ASEAN THAILAND 2018, there were 3 teams with 10 people participating the contest. Tri Petch Group's Big Data – "Vehicle Insight Data" for instance, driving information such as speed, time of brake, accelerator, etc. was provided to contestants to use for new concept or idea of innovation for automobile service businesses development.
The winning team in the "Hackathon by Tri Petch Group X ABeam" was Team "ADME" comprising of 4 undergraduate students -- Thatchapong Asawasirisilp, Pattaraphoom Sawasdee, Setthawuth Tangserisuk, and Vitchayut Sirithanasart from Automotive Design and Manufacturing Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University. The team came up with an idea using the Big Data in second-hand automobile market under the concept that used car price should be different from each driving behavior which impacts to different car condition, by taking the Big Data to analyze driving behavior and adding value to customer with customer's automobile driving report. The report benefits customers to improve their driving behaviors and can be used when estimating their used-car price, which will benefit both car owners and second-hand business owners, Mr. Hara explained.
The innovation from Hackathon is one important part of Digital Transformation ABeam defined, that is, to realize real customer value, enterprises need to connect their digitized data. ABeam has demonstrated how individual big data asset (Tri Petch vehicle insight) can be leveraged by other enterprise through this contest.
