Qantas has expanded its codeshare arrangement with Jetstar providing more travel options for customers travelling between Australia and Thailand.
Qantas will add its code to Jetstar's Sydney-Phuket, Melbourne-Phuket and Melbourne-Bangkok services, operated by Jetstar's Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
Customers travelling between Australia and Thailand will now be able to book the direct Jetstar-operated service between Melbourne/Sydney and Thailand in one direction, with a Qantas-operated service on the return leg.
When travelling on a Qantas codeshare service operated by Jetstar's 787 aircraft between Melbourne/Sydney and Thailand, Qantas customers will enjoy the following benefits:
- Qantas Frequent Flyer members will earn points and status credits on all sectors
- A complimentary hot meal and a pre-landing refreshment including water, tea or coffee
- Complimentary access to the Jetstar seat-back in-flight entertainment
- A comfort pack – including a pillow blanket and eye mask
- Access to Qantas Lounges in Sydney, Melbourne and Singapore for eligible passengers
- The Qantas International baggage allowance for their entire journey, including all Jetstar Airways and Jetstar Asia-operated services (as stated on their ticket)
- Baggage through check between QF domestic and JQ international terminals in Sydney and Melbourne, when booked on QF-code flight in a single itinerary
- Use of the Qantas transfer bus service at Sydney Airport, when transferring between a Qantas-operated domestic flight in Australia and Qantas-codeshare, Jetstar-operated international service to/from Phuket
Qantas codes to over 50 destinations on Jetstar Group services between Australia and Asia, as well as intra-Asia services, offering Qantas customers a wide range of route options when travelling across the region.
