Kaidee, Thailand's largest online marketplace, announced its 2018 results with 68% revenue growth, over 30 million people visiting. During the year, Kaidee launched BaanKaidee for real estate and FarmKaidee for agriculture.
Tiwa York, Chief Executive Officer/Head Coach of Kaidee, said, "2018 was a tremendous year further validating Kaidee's value to our customers. We launched new dedicated sections for property and agriculture, and continued to grow our leadership positions in vehicles and motorcycles."
"We were very pleased with our 2018 operating results with 68% year on year revenue growth. We had more than 8.7 million items listed on our platform and over 1.7 million items from over 200 categories reported as sold on Kaidee. Our mobile applications were downloaded 2.3 million times over the year, taking the total number of downloads since launch to 14.4 million. In 2019, we will focus on improving our services, user experience and using machine learning to make our market more efficient for our customers." said Mr. York.

In 2018, Kaidee launched BaanKaidee to help people buy, sell and rent real estate including houses, condos, land, offices, commercial properties, resorts and hotels. Over 8,000 properties were reported sold on BaanKaidee, representing 18% of the total value of all items sold on Kaidee. The areas most commonly searched are Lumpini, Ladprao, Don Muang, On Nut and Sukhumvit. The most searched cities outside Bangkok are Chonburi, Chiang Mai, Rayong, Nakornnayok and Ratchaburi
In addition, the company launched FarmKaidee to bring simple, easy-to-use features for Thai farmers to buy and sell online. The market has two sections, the farmer's market for selling products directly to business (F2B) or to retail consumers (F2C) and an agriculture market where farmers sell to other farmers (F2F) or businesses sell to farmers (B2F). Since launching in October, FarmKaidee was visited over 700,000 times during the year.
RodKaidee is the most popular section in Kaidee with more than 61 million visits and 400,000 vehicles listed in 2018. More than 80,000 vehicles were reported sold. This represented over 56% of the total value of items sold on Kaidee. Last year, every 6 minutes a vehicle was reported as sold. The most popular search terms in RodKaidee are: van (รถตู้), 4x4, sell the down-payment (ขายดาวน์), and coupe. The most searched brands and models were: Toyota Altis, Honda Civic, Honda CRV, BMW E30 and Toyota Revo.
MocyKaidee is the second most popular section on Kaidee with more than 36 million visits and nearly 600,000 motorcycles listed for sale in 2018. The section saw tremendous growth throughout the year with nearly 140,000 motorcycles reported sold. The most popular models in 2018 were Honda PCX, Honda MSX, Yamaha R15, Yamaha R3 and Kawasaki Z800.
