Bangkok--17 Jun--PTTOR PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited or PTTOR today launches Cafe Amazon at Central i-City, the company marks two significant milestones – the opening of the first Cafe Amazon outlet in Malaysia, the 9th country in Asia, and the 2,808th branch worldwide. The opening ceremony of the first Cafe Amazon in Malaysia is attended by distinguished figures including H.E. Narong Sasitorn, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Ms. Jiraphon Kawswat, PTTOR's President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Sudhitham Chirathivat, Chairman of the Advisory Board, Central Group of Companies and Mr. Wan Kamaruddin, Chairman of Smart Akilli Sendirian Berhad. The mission of Cafe Amazon is to provide a variety of services to better serve our valued customers at PTT Station – a rest stop and a place to relax, especially for commuters, with delectable refreshing beverages and snacks. Over the past 17 years, Cafe Amazon has received a warm welcome in all markets it operates. All Cafe Amazon branches in Thailand and overseas share the same concept of being the "Green Oasis" decorated with a lush and nature-like setting while all its operations are environmentally friendly. Bio-degradable cups and straws are used for serving drinks. Plastic bags are replaced by paper counterparts. Wooden spoons, forks and knives are also used instead of plastic cutlery. In Malaysia, Cafe Amazon localized some of its drinks and snack menus to better meet with Malaysians's preferences. Cafe Amazon has enjoyed not only an increasing in number of branches but also an incremental sales per branch every year. In 2018, it sold 225 million cups of drinks.
