Bangkok--15 Aug--Spark Communications
Innovative workspace pioneer, Spaces, which is part of the International Workplace Group (IWG) has announced its fourth site in Thailand at the bustling Phahon 19. The new location Paholyothin offers over 2,900 sqm of leasable office space is set to open in September 2019.
Spaces Phahon 19 is a joint venture between Spaces and the landlord of the Phahon 19 building. The new partnership model allows a mutually beneficial agreement between Spaces and the landlord, whereby the landlord invests 100% into the property, in return for management by the Spaces brand.
Strategically located in proximity of MRT Phahonyothin, the soon-to-open Spaces Phahon 19 penetrates a new market segment in the North of Bangkok, that connects between Lad Prao, Chatuchak, Bang Khen and Ratchayothin. Surrounded by an abundance of office buildings, shopping malls and communal areas and just a few minutes away from Central Plaza Ladprao.
The location offers a modern, light and airy European design, great coffee, with banks of floor-to-ceiling windows office space on the second floor of Phahon 19, as a perfect place to draw inspiration and get the job done. The building is also equipped with its own secure basement garage, which makes travelling easy by both car and public transportation.
Lars Wittig, Country Manager of Spaces by IWG, S. Korea, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand said: "Bangkok is one the most vibrant cities in the world with growing business hubs and entrepreneurial spirit. Our decision to expand in this part of town is to extend our reach to Bangkokians in the Northern part of Bangkok, by providing them with a place to work and meet with like-minded professionals who believe in the power of collaboration to drive business forward. Our unique brand positioning of a free-spirit with contemporary design, combined with a warm and genuine hospitality allows our customers to achieve an optimal work-life balance; which has been proven as one of key driving factors for productivity, employee retention and over-all job satisfaction."
"In addition, our partnership with the landlord for Spaces Phahon 19 is a testament to the growing demand and interest in the flexible workspace industry. Thailand garners a strong demand for quality workspace from Thai and international investors, coporates, SMEs, startups and entrepreneurs, as the transportation, business and industry hub of ASEAN. By allowing the landlord to invest in our business, we are adding value to the development by fostering a community of energetic and driven professionals. At the same time, our expertise in the coworking business offers the landlord agility and a slice in the flexible workspace sector, without the risk running their own operation," Lars added.
The new location Phahon 19 will consist of 87 coworking desks, private offices, 4 meeting rooms, 6 dedicated desks, as well as meetings rooms, pantry and a large and inspirational Business Club that offers a great potential to connect and share ideas. After a hard day at work, members can also choose to step out and enjoy a meal at nearby Rod Fai Park, or be inspired at the Thai Bank Museum.
In line with the Spaces brand concept, Spaces Phahon 19 will offer a regular flow of networking events, lunches and communal activities, whereby members will have chance to engage, networking and venture into new possibilities. Members also have the convenience to access any Spaces coworking location in Bangkok, located at Summer Hill, Chamchuri Square and Empire Tower, and over 250 Spaces locations worldwide.
Spaces was established in 2006 in Amsterdam, with a subsequent launch of its first location in Thailand at Summer Hill community mall in 2017. It operates with a mission of offering an inspirational environment with an entrepreneurial spirit where ideas are born, companies evolve, and valuable relationships are being built. What really makes the company unique is the community that the company has worked on to cultivate targeting a wide variety of businesses. This mix of established, new, small and big type of companies creates a dynamic environment. Spaces plays a role as a community space where people meet and connect through different types of social networking events such as Happy Hour Fridays and Spaces Book Club and accommodates a variety of global companies including Uber, Booking.com, Paypal, and GoPro worldwide.
Spaces Phahon 19 is expected to be completed by October 2019. For more information on the development of Spaces at Phahon 19 and membership opportunities, visit www.spacesworks.com
