Bangkok--30 Aug--The Asian Institute of Technology
The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and the University of Iowa (UI) will offer a Double Degree Master's Program in Water Engineering and Management. The agreement was signed by Prof. Bruce Harreld, President, University of Iowa, and Dr. Eden Y Woon, President, AIT.
Dr. Gabriele Villarini of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE), and Director, IIHR, Hydroscience and Engineering represented the University of Iowa at the signing ceremony held at AIT on 27 August 2019.
According to the agreement, the current AIT students who are studying their MS program in Water Engineering and Management Program in the Department of Civil and Infrastructure Engineering (CIE) will apply to CEE by February 2020 to start the program in the fall semester. They will spend one year in Iowa City completing eight courses. Two courses from AIT will be transferred to the UI, pending their successful completion at AIT, to complete the required 30 semester hour minimum.
