IVL Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding with GEPP on the collection of waste for sustainable recycling by bringing used PET bottles to an appropriate recycling process, based on the Circular Economy concept. Collected PET bottles will be processed into recycled PET (rPET), which can be utilized for many products such as fibers for clothes and plastic resins for food & beverage packaging. This collaboration aims not only to minimize plastic waste, but also to raise awareness of recycling among the public, as well as to educate them how to sort and collect waste properly in order to solve plastic waste problems sustainably.
