OR - KBank launch Blue CONNECT application to connect happiness with all spending, meeting consumers’ need in the digital era

กรุงเทพฯ--20 ก.ย.--KASIKORNBANK In response to a cashless society and changing consumer behavior, the Blue CONNECT application will facilitate customers with secure payment for goods and services at PTT Station and OR retail stores. Ms. Jiraphon Kawswat, President & Chief Executive Officer, PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited (OR), and Ms. Kattiya Indaravijaya, KBank President, together unveiled the Blue CONNECT application at the PTT Head Office to provide greater convenience for consumers in making payment via e-wallet while also saving merchants time and easing their cash management burden, all in support of a cashless society in the digital era and in line with the government's Thailand 4.0 policy. Ms. Jiraphon said that OR has worked with KBank in developing the Blue CONNECT application with an e-wallet as its main function to allow consumers to go cashless. The initiative will thus meet the needs of today's consumers, for whom convenience, speed and security are essential. OR is Thailand's first oil company that develops such an application, which can be used at PTT Station and OR retail stores including Cafe Amazon, Texas Chicken, Hua Seng Hong Dimsum, Daddy Dough, Jiffy, FIT Auto and Pearly Tea. Aside from making secure and swift payments, customers can check transaction history, link their accumulated PTT Blue Card points to the application, and enjoy a steady stream of promotions and privileges. To celebrate the application's debut, special promotions will be offered in order to encourage customers to have a new experience in using the e-wallet. Upon topping up the Blue CONNECT application by at least 500 Baht, customers will get an additional 50 Baht, from today to November 30, 2019. Moreover, they will be entitled to a 50-Baht discount when making payment via the application at participating OR retail stores from today until December 31, 2019. Blue CONNECT can be downloaded via the Play Store or the App Store nationwide as of today. The debut of Blue CONNECT represents another milestone of OR in enhancing our customer service experience, leveraging technologies and building business competitiveness to brace for change while achieving sustainable growth. Ms. Kattiya Indaravijaya, KBank President, said that KBank has supported OR in many projects that aim to reduce the use of cash and create the best service experience for customers using the services in OR's ecosystem, including PTT stations and stores under OR. Throughout the development process of Blue CONNECT, KBank, as a system developer, has prioritized the user experience by considering the data from our studies on the needs and behaviors of our customers conducting digital banking through channels such as K PLUS, which has over 11 million users. Those studies show that the lifestyles of younger customers have changed. They prefer convenience, speed, plus user-friendly and sophisticated tools. Moreover, many facets of their everyday life, including daily activities, spending and traveling, are in OR's ecosystem. Blue CONNECT is also equipped with enhanced security, and users can instantly conduct a variety of transactions through it, including bill payment, top-up and funds transfer, and reward point collection/redemption.
