Mr. Korakot Chatasingha, Director of Thailand Regional Sales, Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI), as President of the Board of Airline Representatives Business Association (BAR), presided over the 2nd BAR Annual General Meeting 2019 at Banyan Tree Bangkok Sathorn. The objective of the meeting was to discuss operating results and domestic airline industry development, with representatives from over 30 airlines in Thailand in attendance. Mr. Chokchai Panyayong, Deputy Secretary General of Infrastructure and Dr. Cholachit Vorawangso Virakul, Executive Director of the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) Office of Thailand, provided information on the EEC development plan that would enable Thailand to become the regional transportation and logistics hub, in order for the country to become gateway to Asia. A progress report was also presented on plans to develop Utapao Airport and EEC projects. Representatives from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) presented a report on airport expansion in Thailand.
