Mr. Wisarn Chawalitanon, Senior Executive Vice President, International Marketing, PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited (OR) announced the launch of OR Seeding the Future ASEAN Camp 2019 under the concept of 'Digital Aspiration' at PTT Head Office Building. Now in its 5th consecutive year, the annually held youth camp aims at building a network of youth in the ASEAN region and supporting young people to realize their potential, which leads to development of the whole region. This year, 50 young students from Thailand, Laos PDR, Cambodia, the Philippines and Myanmar have been selected to participate the camp held between 3 – 9 November 2019 in Thailand.
Mr. Wisarn said that "OR believes in the potential of the youth, which is a seed of virtue and major driving force behind the future development of the country. OR Seeding the Future ASEAN Camp was initiated in 2015 as a joint efforts with our foreign affiliates including PTT (Lao) Company Limited (PTT LAO), PTT (Cambodia) Company Limited (PTTCL), PTT Oil Myanmar Company Limited (PTTOM) and PTT Philippines Corporation (PTTPC). This year, the number of young people applying for the youth camp increased by over 50 percent compared to last year, with applications from over 100 universities across the ASEAN region. The youth participating in the program will gain valuable knowledge in marketing and digital technology from teachers from famous institutions in Thailand, and also have opportunity to learn about business overview of OR, as well as witness OR business operations at PTT Stations, Oil and Retail Business Academy (OBA), and Amazon Inspiring Campus (AICA). Other activities include the visit of various important projects initiated by companies under PTT Group in Chonburi and Rayong, such as Khao Bo Ya LPG Terminal, Wang Chan Forest Learning Center operated by PTT Reforestation Institute, Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Herbal Garden, Harumiki Strawberry Farm, and PTT LNG Company Limited. The camp engages participants in the program in its first through fourth year to join the activities as Camp Assistant, which helps strengthen friendship and lead to a stronger network of young people in ASEAN countries in the future."

The project will help young people develop their cognitive skills, realize their full potential, exchange knowledge on each country's culture, as well as establish a strong youth network in ASEAN countries, leading the youths to sow their life with seeds of virtue and grow up to be qualified adults that drive a better future and further development of ASEAN region," added Mr. Wisarn.
