WHA Industrial Development PLC (WHA ID) recently bagged the 2019 "People's Choice" Award and the 2019 AMCHAM CSR Excellence (ACE) Recognition Award, "Platinum Level", during the annual award ceremony organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (AMCHAM).
WHA ID received this distinguished AMCHAM CSR Excellence Award for its over 20 year-commitment in initiating CSR projects to improve the lives of people in the community in the areas of environment, education and healthcare. As this is WHA Group's tenth consecutive year to receive this award, the company was given a "Platinum" recognition status for its long-term efforts to support Thailand's sustainable development.
This is the first year that the AMCHAM presents the "People's Choice Award" following a general vote by its members. Only companies that received the ACE Recognition Award for 10 consecutive years (Platinum Level) were eligible for this distinction. WHA Group won the People's Choice Award" in the category of over 3 million baht budget project for its "Clean Water for Planet," a CSR initiative for sustainable wastewater treatment in Pluak Daeng Sub District. The project stems from its long experience and specialization in the industrial sector.
Both awards illustrate WHA Group's long-standing commitment to enhance environment-friendly actions, especially in the preservation of clean and safe water, in its 10 industrial estates in Thailand.
