GM President presents Chevrolet Zafira to Thai Red Cross Society

Bangkok--Aug 15--Shandwick International (Thailand)
Mr. William S. Botwick, President of GM Thailand presented Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn with a Chevrolet Zafira for the Fund Raising Division of the Thai Red Cross Society. The donation was made on the occasion of the Grand Opening ceremony of General Motors Assembly Center Thailand in Rayong province presided over by Her Royal Highness.
With an investment of more than 25 billion Baht (US $640 million), the GM Thailand Assembly Center is one of fifty such GM plants worldwide and is one of the only two GM plants worldwide producing the 7-seater Zafira, a compact multi-purpose vehicle. The Rayong Assembly Center is modeled after the GM plant in Eisenach, Germany, which is one of the most efficient Assembly Centers in the industry.
