RS launches a campaign to entice shoppers during the year-end season, investing more than 50 million baht in "RS Mall New Year Celebration 2020" which runs from Dec 19 - 31, with special promotions and up to 70% discount, for customers to offer health and beauty products to their loved ones. The campaign is expected to help the revenue double.
Pornpan Techarungchaikul, Chief Commercial Officer, RS Public Company Limited, said, "Thailand's eCommerce in 2019, according to the Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA), is expected to expand 15-20% from 2018 in which it was worth 3.15 trillion baht. In 2020-2022, eCommerce will keep rising at the rate of about 22% on average, which means there is a lot of potential for growth. This is in line with the company's mission to be the leader of multi-platform commerce or MPC. RS Mall has created many online campaigns, such as 11.11, RS Mall Daddy Day Festival and 12.12 to add liveliness and attract consumers to shop online more. The campaigns offered great promotions and excellent values. The year-end season is considered the high season for business as it is when consumers spend the most on gifts and services. Therefore, the company has introduced "RS Mall New Year Celebration 2020" during December 19-31 with up to 70% discount to attract consumers to spend.
The company has invested more than 50 million baht in marketing, advertisement and promotion to drive the "RS Mall New Year Celebration 2020" campaign. It is a reward for customers and a way of celebrating the New Year. Great products with international quality for health and beauty make great gifts for your loved ones, and this time RS is offering up to 70% discount on selected products that meet the needs of consumers. The products on offer include Lifestar products by RS, which include brands like Magique skincare brand, Revive hair care brand, and S.O.M food supplement brand, as well as partner brands to offer great deals to customers throughout the 13-day campaign. The campaign is expected to increase the sales revenue by 2-3 times.
Currently, RS's MPC business has grown steadily, with an average spending per person at 2,200 baht per transaction, a 5% increase compared to the same period last year. This year, more channels have been added, including on-air channels like Channel 8 and partner digital TV channels like Thairath TV and Workpoint TV, COOL Fahrenheit radio station, and call center 1781 with free delivery nationwide. Online channels include Line Official Account @rsmall. Each platform has a different customer base and each group of customers can be analyzed and researched in order to develop products to meet their needs. Additionally, RS has partnered with BTS to expand its customer base in Bangkok and other areas. Currently, RS has 1.5 million customers in its database.
For 2020, the company will introduce new products lines for more variety and to target a wider group of customers in different lifestyle categories in all channels both by the company and by partners. The products include health and beauty products like S.O.M. Cordy Tibet & Bhutan, S.O.M. S-Balance, Bonback bird's nest, air purifiers, health pillows, and travel suitcases. These products will spearhead its marketing and will become champion products in the future, in line with Thailand's growing online shopping trend.
