After officially receiving licenses to use the 2600 MHz frequency band on 21 February 2020, which on the same day, AIS created the phenomenon by instantly launching the first nationwide 5G network. Recently, today (24 February 2020), AIS announced the official launch of the First 5G service Commercial in Thailand.
Currently, AIS is continuously expanding the 5G network and providing to give advantages to customers who purchase 5G Smart Phone from AIS such as the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G, Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G (which has been upgraded software), which will be available for sale in early March and be able to use 5G instantly, including free of charge until 30 June 2020 in the areas with AIS 5G network.
Besides, in order to help customers to contact in foreign countries, AIS is the first and only operator in Thailand that continues working with international service partners by providing the First 5G International Call to Overseas by beginning in the Philippines with Globe Telecom, and the First 5G International Roaming by starting in Switzerland with the Swisscom operator as well.
