Twenty-one professors from Vocational Education Commission’s Affiliated Vocational Schools (hereinafter referred to as VEC) joined the 5G on boarding training by Huawei at Huawei Thailand Training Center.
This training is the first step for Huawei and VEC’s in-depth cooperation. The four- day training is designed to enable professors to understand 5G better. The abundant 5G topics covered 5G protocol standardization, industry progress, E2E evolution, 5G security technology, network architecture, service-based network and key technologies.
Mr. Lu Yu, Vice President of Huawei Southeast Asia Carrier Business Dept., and Dr. Chompunuch Buabangsorn, Director of Institute of Vocational Education (Bangkok), attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches on behalf of both parties. Later, the parties had an in-depth discussion about cooperation on the certificate curriculum designed for vocational education, teacher development, and MoU signing.
Mr. Lu Yu said, “This training course will bring you the latest 5G industry insights, user cases, network evolution and key technologies in the future.”
“Huawei will continue to cooperate with the Thailand government and our partners to provide open courses, online courses, skill training and certifications for government officials, startups, SMEs and students in order to cultivate more ICT talents in Thailand” he added.
Moreover, Dr. Chompunuch Buabangsorn has appreciated Huawei on providing the first class of the basic 5G training to VEC’s professors, “As being in the ICT industry, we need to catch up with the latest trends of technology. With this training, I hope our professors can deliver the obtained 5G knowledge to our students, which should be included in the vocational teaching course.”
