Zilingo today announced their support for sellers and customers amidst the COVID-19 outbreak by reintroducing essential goods and household items along with free shipping services on its supply chain platform, Zilingo Trade.
Zilingo had previously decided to put on hold the sale of household and essential goods in order to focus on its fashion supply chain capabilities. However, recent social distancing measures implemented nationwide and the surge in demand for online groceries and essential items has prompted Zilingo to reintroduce its FMCG product category on its platform which consists of all essential and household goods.
To ease logistical difficulties and reduce costs for sellers on its platform, Zilingo will continue implementing its free shipping initiative which first started in January 2020. The free shipping service helps sellers to pass cost-savings on to customers, encouraging them to shop for essential goods from the safety of their homes. As a token of the company’s appreciation and gratitude, customers can also expect to receive joyful greeting cards together with their purchases.
